In Bermuda we have an estimated 2000 persons living with Dementia, and this is growing fast. If measures are not put in place to quickly avert this rapid rise, the financial and social backlash to the Bermudian economy and its residents will be astronomical to say the the least.

The Bermuda Alzheimer’s & Memory Services was established to be a main player in tackling head on this serious crisis.

BEAMS is a local Bermudian organization that provides a broad spectrum of services to help patients, families and caregivers who are facing the challenges imposed by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. Beams services will include, but not limited to:

Originally, it was thought that there was no cure for Alzheimer’s disease but emerging research is showing otherwise….That this may be a lifestyle disease, associated to both cardiovascular disease and Diabetes.

B.E.A.M.S. is a revolutionary new program that focuses on the prevention, and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disaese and the treatment of early Alzheimer’s disease. B.E.A.M.S. uses this knowledge gained from millions of dollars of research done all over the globe to put together a cutting edge treatment protocol which combines the best of western medicine and natural/herbal medicine.

Using the clinical approach developed by a Harvard medical school and MIT team at RealHealth clinic, B.E.A.M.S. uses advanced diagnostics that determines root causes of the disease thereby being able to formulate a personalize treatment plan that can include medication, scientifically proven supplements, and lifestyle changes that will improve cognitive impairment, and in some cases reverses it, and also improving the overall health of the patient. Emerging research shows that Alzheimer’s is not a brain only disease and therefore will not benefit from any treatment that targets only the brain. B.E.A.M.S. provides a wholistic aporoach which heals both the brain and the body.

In 2017 BEAMS was formally introduced to the island of Bermuda with the launch of its Annual Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Memory Summit to held at the Hamilton City Hall on Thursday April 20, 2017
